Chapter 259 is the two hundred fifty ninth chapter of Weak Hero. It is the 132nd chapter of the third season.

It is the third part of Donald Na's Backstory.

Synopsis

The teachers acknowledge that Donald received perfect test scores, but point out that he’s been loitering around the teachers’ room. Donald says that as a work-study student, he has a lot of tasks that involve him entering the teachers' room, such as when using the printer. Donald knows that the teachers will already decide that he cheated. Seungjae’s mom can’t accept that her child lost to Donald and demands a retest.

Donald thinks he just needs to keep showing them again and again his perfect scores so his mother will keep smiling. Seungjae and his gang continue to bully Donald, but Donald holds his rage in.

Donald’s homeroom teacher, Mr. Jeong, knows that even if they retake the test, Donald will still score higher than Seungjae. He receives a call from the hospital saying that Donald’s mother, Sua Lee, has died. He realizes Donald doesn’t know yet and waits two days, until right before the retest, to tell Donald, but still forces him to take the test first before he can go and see her.

Donald ends up failing and hurriedly goes to the hospital. His mother is laying in the cold morgue with a cloth covering her face. The nurses are unable to contact any relatives; Donald’s stepfather has taken the insurance money and fled. Donald is her only relative, but the nurses mark Sua as having no relatives so that she can at least be cremated. There is no one left to be happy about Donald’s efforts.

Donald returns to school. Mr. Jeong becomes the new head teacher. It is the last day of the affiliated school student representative’s field trip, so the principal wants to make sure there are no problems. Seungjae continues to bully Donald and steals the chocolate wrappers and notes Donald’s mother had given Donald. He crumples it up and Donald finally snaps and throws a punch.
