Chapter 262 is the two hundred sixty second chapter of Weak Hero. It is the 135th chapter of the third season.
It is the sixth part of Donald Na's Backstory.
Synopsis
Kingsley thinks his parents’ huge expectations of him are suffocating. He wants to live up to everyone’s expectations and believes he will be able to stomach it all, but in reality he only has mediocre talent and a mediocre background. Everything he has is below what is expected; that is the wall he can’t overcome and all he can do is adapt to reality.
At Yeo-Il Middle School, each grade’s student president and vice president are called to go to the school affairs office after class. Kingsley is told to prepare the entrance speech as the first year’s representative. In the hallway, he sees Donald in the library rather than in class.
The head of academic affairs says that Donald enrolled in the second semester due to personal reasons and that his attendance is lenient due to him being a special case. In reality, Donald has blackmailed the principal. The head of academic affairs tells Kingsley that Donald scored first in the mock exam and that he’ll be placed in Kingsley’s class.
In Class 1-7, the head of the third year students, Seungun Min, storms into the classroom and targets Donald and orders him to bring him a million won by tomorrow. Donald beats Seungun and his friend up in front of everyone and orders him to bring him two million won by tomorrow. Donald’s debut at Yeo-Il Middle School is a lot more impactful than anyone else’s.
Later, Kingsley goes to the library and looks through Donald’s folder of questions. He is shocked because they’re way past the middle and high school level. Donald asks why he’s looking at his notes, and Kingsley informs him that he is called to the office about the incident with Seungun. Kingsley tells him that Seungun’s parents have quite the influence at school and that Donald won’t be able to get through this easily.
Kingsley is annoyed that Donald is unbothered. He tells Donald that he’s been collecting evidence on Seungun to get him expelled or at least transferred, but because of Donald, everything changed. Donald claims that he took care of the problem in just five minutes, but Kingsley tells him that delinquents who use their fists don’t understand, and that Seungun will dial back until Donald gets expelled due to Seungun’s parents.
Donald reveals that he knows who Kingsley is: Kingsley attended Yeo-Il Elementary School and is the first year student president of Yeo-Il Middle School. He says he finds all the articles Kingsley wrote amusing, including the negative papers about the trade school exchange program three years ago. Kingsley realizes that the scholarship student he had seen while visiting Yeowon Elementary School as an affiliated school student representative was Donald.
Donald asks Kingsley that if he were to cleanly erase Seungun Min, will he hold hands with him? While Kingsley wants to believe he can live in the world with logic, it isn’t such a nice place like that. Donald says he’ll prove it to him. In the end, Donald isn’t expelled and gets away with only needing to do twenty volunteer hours.
Donald tells Kingsley that the real world exists outside the school gates and the real numbers are there. He tells him that the human world is naturally an unfair place and to not get caught up in it, but to use it. Donald offers Kingsley to join him because he needs him. Kingsley can never reject it. He despises the situation he is in, and he sees Donald as someone so overwhelmingly strong and of a different world, a person whose existence itself is overwhelming. Kingsley is happy and excited because Donald is the perfect being he’s been looking for.
After that day, Donald and Kingsley started creating a Union, one which is stronger than ever. Whenever Donald fights and gets injured, Kingsley expresses his worry, but Donald tells him that he needs to show his strength in order to achieve victory. Eventually, Donald beat them all and the image of him going ahead without any fear or worry is close to perfection.
One year has passed. Kingsley goes to the rooftop and sees Donald shirtless, revealing his tattooed arms.
